Serving the Serve Team

I’ve had the privilege of serving as the Director of the LC3 Kids Serve Team since the fall of 2022. Our Kids Serve Team is made up of incredible 4th and 5th graders who are passionate about serving during our weekend services. Whether it’s leading worship, running tech, or helping out in the preschool and nursery classrooms, these kids are making a huge impact!
Last year, during the 2023-2024 ministry year, we added something special to the mix—an AWANA dinner for our AWANA leadership team every second Wednesday of the month. It was such a success that they asked for it to continue this year! Our Kids Serve Team also has the opportunity to perform puppet shows for the preschoolers, which is always a hit.
This year, we’re celebrating a record number of over 20 kids on the team—our largest group ever! Every week, I’m blown away by their enthusiasm, dedication, and the joy they bring to serving. It truly warms my heart to see these kids excited to serve not only LC3 Kids but also Jesus!
I’m incredibly grateful to have an amazing leadership team alongside me. Niki Oury, our Children’s Discipleship Director, is instrumental in helping run our serve team meetings, and Brandy Beekman (yes, my wonderful wife) oversees the setup and flow of the AWANA dinners and pitches in wherever needed, especially on weeks when there’s no AWANA dinner.
These kids have such big hearts for God, and I’m honored to play a small role in helping them grow into future leaders and servants in the church. Thank you for supporting our team—God is doing amazing things through these young hearts!
