Impact Through Performance

From day one, The Born Again Identity was envisioned as more than just a performance—it was a mission of outreach and a heartfelt act of worship. We prayed that every step, word, and note would reflect the love of Jesus as we shared the Gospel through a creative retelling of Nicodemus’ story and the meaning of being born again.

The weekend of the performance, friends, family, and community members came to witness this joyful production—and more importantly, to hear the life-changing message of Jesus. Through the eyes of Nicodemus, a Pharisee transformed by an encounter with Christ, we shared the story of redemption, hope, and eternal life. Central to the performance was John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Seeds were planted, and we trust God stirred hearts—perhaps even brought some to salvation.

The students sang, danced, and acted with passion and purpose, using their gifts to proclaim the Good News. Their dedication was a living example of Deuteronomy 6:6–7: “And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them
diligently to your children…” Over three months of rehearsals, they poured their hearts into each practice and performance with courage, joy, and growing faith.

One group of students shared that they no longer feel afraid to talk about Jesus with their friends. One young girl even wrote a school paper about gaining bravery and confidence in acting. After this year’s play, her teacher said, “I can tell by things she’s said in class that the message of the performance has made her bolder to tell the Good News.” It’s a great reminder that God is working in and through these young lives.

There is much to celebrate, and we give all the glory to God for what He has done—and continues to do—through LC3 and our Kids Ministries.
