Answering God's Call

Jacqueline Williamson

There are many ways to connect with God, and for me, worship music is the most instantaneous and moving. Serving in the Worship Arts Ministry has been an incredible blessing in my life and for my family. God has shown up in simple ways and extraordinary ways.

Through prayer, I’ve relied on Him to take away nerves on stage and on one occasion, He took away physical pain that otherwise would have made it tough to worship freely. He has led me to meet incredible people both on the worship team and others serving in various ministries. There is something uniquely special about being part of a group that shares a love for music and a love for God, then working together to help move others closer to Christ. It’s like nothing I’ve ever been a part of.

The first time I came to LC3 a few years ago, still searching for the Truth, the music touched my soul in such a way that I felt a calling to be a part of it. After finally joining the ministry, God greatly deepened my faith, my knowledge of what is good and beautiful through His Word, and my relationship with others inside and outside the church. He has flamed my desire to serve others beyond music.

He has deepened the desire of my husband and children to serve others, while making known the joy that surrounds doing so. Our marriage and relationship with our children has been enriched. One of my greatest joys is hearing my 4 children belt out worship music randomly at any time of day. They all want to be a part of the Worship Arts Ministry one day! Mason wants to sing, Cora wants to play the piano, and Ava wants to play the drums. Our youngest, Logan, is not sure yet but I’m hoping he goes for the guitar so we’ll have a full band! Either way, the true hope is to leave a legacy of loving God and loving others.
