Embracing God's Calling

David & Vickie Weinz

When the Colson Fellows program was introduced to us at LC3 as a way to understand biblical, as well as other worldviews, we decided to enroll as a couple so that we could study and grow together. Our desire was to be better equipped to fulfill our responsibility as witnesses of the truth of the gospel to our grandchildren and those of the next generations. Adding to our excitement was that we would belong to a cohort with others from our church family where we could discuss what we were reading and learning.

Through daily devotions, reading, webinars and in-person gatherings, we grew closer together as we studied God’s Word, prayed, and discussed what we were reading. When we regularly met with other Colson graduates and those in training with us, we benefitted from and were challenged by lively discussions. We gained skills in understanding worldviews, in listening, and knowing how to ask questions. We had opportunity to consider
God’s Great Story of Creation, Fall, Redemption and Restoration and how to lovingly and respectfully present a biblical worldview.

We were affirmed in our belief that God still has a purpose and plan for us.

‘One generation shall commend Your works to another and shall declare Your mighty acts.’ Psalm 145:4
