Challenged to Grow

Nolan Perron

"Scripture memorization gave me God’s Word to lean on during my sinful moments and throughout the challenges of daily life."

I would certainly identify myself as a “New Believer.” This past winter, I felt like I needed
more direction in strengthening my walk with the Lord. I had heard about Every Man a
Warrior (EMAW), but I had doubts that I was ready for it. The Holy Spirit must have been
whispering to me, because soon after, David Nelson from LC3 tapped me on the shoulder and invited me to join the spring session.

EMAW was exactly what I needed. This group skyrocketed my understanding of what the Lord wants for me as an imperfect man. We established a structure that helped me digest, meditate on, and apply the Lord’s Word and commandments. Even after the first few sessions, I was locked in—and throughout the 18 weeks, I found myself integrating Quiet Times into my daily routine and sustaining that habit even months later.

The emphasis on Scripture memorization gave me God’s Word to lean on during my sinful moments and throughout the challenges of daily life. Just as importantly, the fellowship with other brothers in Christ allowed me to build lasting relationships centered on accountability, encouragement, and sharing. That fellowship was an absolute blessing.

Most importantly, EMAW brought me closer to the Lord and gave me a foundation to continue strengthening my love for Him and my relationship with Him. I am deeply grateful for the experience and would wholeheartedly recommend EMAW to any man seeking to grow in his walk with Christ.
