Finding Community

Teresa Sullivan

"I was looking for a church where I could get plugged in with the community, and meet more people my age."

I first came to Lake City Community Church around one year ago, having heard about it
through family connections. I was looking for a church where I could get plugged in
with the community, and meet more people my age. I had been really struggling to find
community with others in my life stage, and I wanted to try somewhere new.

At LC3, I met Eric and Carol Wylie, who have been running the Young Adult Group
for several years now. They introduced me to several people and immediately got me looped into the young adult groups going on at the church. The Wylie’s run a wonderful dinner Bible Study at their house every week, where they welcome anyone in and make you feel at home.

Before long I was also attending the Young Adult Gathering and the Young Women’s
Bible Study, and formed many new friendships. I have felt extremely blessed to know Eric and Carol, who open their home several times a week to host the young adult groups. They have been amazing mentors and friends and truly love serving the younger generation in this church. I’m so grateful to have met them - and through them so many others!
