Mission & Vision

Go therefore and make disciples...

Lake City Community Church (LC3) places great value on worshiping God with our lives, serving one another through community and discipleship, and serving others in the world as Jesus served us. Below are our mission and vision statements which guide everything we do in order to bring glory to God.

The Mission

Our mission as a church is to advance God's Kingdom by making fully-devoted followers of Christ in Lakewood and the world. This mission comes out of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 where Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples of all nations. And that is what a fully-devoted follower is: a disciple. Every ministry at LC3 is geared towards making and developing disciples.

The Vision

Our vision is to be a Christ-honoring community that is passionate about loving God, one another, and the world. This comes from Matthew 22:36-40, where Jesus boils down the Mosaic Law as essentially two commands: to love God and to love your neighbor.

Community Groups

One of the best ways that we share community and mission together as a church family is through our Community Groups. Our community groups are the vehicle through which people can connect with others and live life alongside each other in smaller relational environments.

Marriage & Family

We believe a healthy church family develops healthy individual families, so we put a strong emphasis on family ministry. This includes: strengthening marriages, spiritually equipping our families, providing complementary student and youth programs, and encouraging our entire church to live as the family Jesus intended it to be.

Military

Our Church is located approximately 10 minutes from Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM). We love our military members, of which there are many active, reserve, and retired in our church family. Many military persons serve in the ministries of the church, and several of our ministries are geared to serve military persons and their families.

Missions

We take seriously Jesus' command to His disciples to make disciples of all nations. That means not only making disciples of those within the local church, but also making disciples in our communities, in our county and state, across the US, and around the world. Our Missions Team raises up missionaries, supports missionaries, and sends missionaries.
