Finding Agape
Agape means love. Love God, love others, love the Word. As our family crossed the country from Iowa to Washington we longed for true community in our new location. Having been told about a homeschool co-op at LC3, we were excited to join. Agape Co-op became a place where God renewed our love for Him, for others, and for His Word. Not only did the children make lasting friendships but as a mother I was able to connect deeply with women on a spiritual level and a friendship level.
When we found out that I had cancer, Agape became such a strategic area of support for us. Agape was a community, a family, and a home during one of our hardest times. When we were at our lowest of lows, someone was always there with a meal for us, or to watch and play with the kids. Most importantly, someone was always there to pray for us and with us. They stood by our side through the entire journey, and never stopped loving us with that unconditional love that is agape. Not only are we extremely thankful that God healed me from cancer, but we are extremely thankful for the ways God worked to draw us closer to Him.
As we move with the military, and our season with Agape is over, we are incredibly thankful to God for a co-op that provided excellent classes for the children, incredible fellowship for mothers, and beautiful friendships for everyone. So, thank you, Agape, for your amazing love, commitment, and friendship to our family. We will never forget you.

When I am going to Agape, I have a smile on my face. Agape makes me happy in so many ways. From the love we share to our friend’s burdens we help bear. From the friends all around us to the love that surrounds us, you can feel that God is there. Without Agape I don’t know what I would have done. It became more than just a place of fun. Agape is a place where it is hard to feel alone, a place that feels like home. When I am going to Agape, I have a smile on my face. Agape makes me happy in so many ways.
