Sharing God's Faithfulness
Kalie Reigh Parrott
This tall / will begin my freshman year at Colorado Christian University. For a long time, I asked the Lord when it would be the right time to share my story. I wanted others to know what He had done in my life, and I carried a deep desire to reflect His work in me
This past June, God opened that door in an incredible way during a mission trip to Malawi, Africa. One evening, one of our pastors, Reese Carlson, asked me if I would like to share my testimony at a widow's visit. I hadn't expected this opportunity, but I knew the Lord was leading. On June 25, 2025, I stood before a group of widowed women at Jali Church and shared my story.
I hadn't written anything down or planned exactly what I would say-l simply prayed that God would help me speak from the heart. I told them about my life growing up: being born to a single mother, the blessing of my dad who later adopted me, and God's faithfulness through life's hardships. I shared about the helicopter crash in 2023 that claimed the lives of nine of my dad's colleagues. and how even in the midst of loss, the Lord's presence and strength carried us through.
As I spoke, I watched the women respond. They related to my story, and together we saw how God's faithfulness shines even in tragedy. It was deeply moving for me to see how God can take my story and use it to encourage others-reminding us all that He is near, He is faithful, and He is worthy of our trust.
