In this sermon, we explore the narrative of Joseph and his brothers from the book of Genesis. Joseph, favored by his father Israel, is sold into slavery by his envious brothers. This act of betrayal leads Joseph on an unexpected detour away from the future he envisioned. Through this story, we learn about the nature of sin, the consequences of jealousy, and the sovereignty of God's plan. Despite the brothers' cruel intentions, God's overarching purpose remains steadfast. We are encouraged to trust in God's bigger picture, even when life takes us on paths we did not anticipate.
